The TRI-NIP press part is a compact set of four press rolls forming three nips. It is designed to optimize the press part of the paper machine, particularly with a shoe-press module in the third nip position. This configuration enhances dewatering efficiency and paper quality, especially suitable for high-speed machines.
Design Features
Press Rolls and Nips Configuration:

1st and 2nd Nips:
- Utilizes a three-chamber suction roll as the central roll.
- Three-Chamber Suction Roll: Contains two high-vacuum chambers for felt water suction at the nip points and one low-vacuum chamber for paper transfer from the 1st to the 2nd nip.

2nd and 3rd Nips:
- A smooth press roll without a felt acts as the central roll.
- Smooth Press Roll: Dimensioned for two nips with a linear load up to 1200 kN/m, ensuring paper transfer from the 2nd to the 3rd nip.

3rd Nip:
- Features a combination of a shoe-press module and a stationary press roll.
- Shoe-Press Module: Allows higher linear load pressing in a wider nip, achieving better dewatering.
