Low Pressure Shower

Low-Pressure Shower (NOT) for Wires and Felts Cleaning and Conditioning

Low-pressure showers play a crucial role in cleaning and conditioning wires and felts in paper machines. They significantly influence the lifespan of the felt and screen, the productivity of the paper machine (PM), the quality of the produced paper, and energy consumption.

Functionality and Types

Low-pressure showers are categorized based on their functions:

  • Moisturizing: Adds moisture to the wire or felt.
  • Cleaning: Removes debris and contaminants.
  • Lubricating: Reduces friction and wear.
  • Intensive: Provides deep cleaning.
  • Condensing: Concentrates moisture in specific areas.
  • Flooding: Delivers high volumes of water.
  • Trims Showering: Cleans edges and trims.

Design Features

  • Material: Constructed from stainless steel for durability and resistance to corrosion.
  • Standard Versions: Available in three sizes:
    • Shower with Ø 60.3 mm, mounting pitch up to 3,500 mm.
    • Shower with Ø 76 mm, mounting pitch up to 5,500 mm.
    • Shower with Ø 108 mm, mounting pitch up to 7,000 mm.
  • Nozzles: Equipped with flat jet nozzles, sizes 1 to 3, positioned 80 – 120 mm from the wire or felt.
  • Cleaning Mechanism: Includes an internal cleaning brush for removing impurities from the nozzles and inner surface. The brush is operated manually using a wheel on the operator side, which also opens the valve for waste water outlet.
  • Water Supply: Connection on the opposite side for water supply. Pipes have fixed or pressed nozzles for efficient water distribution.

Main Parts

  1. Shower with Nozzles: The primary cleaning component.
  2. Cleaning Brush: Removes impurities from nozzles and internal surfaces.
  3. Water Supply Connection: Provides clean water for the shower.
  4. Cleaning Brush Wheel: Allows manual operation of the cleaning brush and waste valve.
  5. Waste Piping for Sediments Outlet: Disposes of collected impurities.
  6. Stands for Shower Pipe Fitting: Supports the shower pipe.
